It is now well established that epigentic processes (eg DNA methylation by Methyl Transferases (DNMTs) or acetylation of histones by Histone Deacetylases (HDACs)) are involved in cancers. In this context, control of some of those processes opens opportunities for the design of new anticancer agents. Recent results from our group will be presented on the design, synthesis, biological evaluation and structural characterization (protein crystallography and molecular modelling) of original reversible DNMT inhibitors.
