Project description

OUFTI-1 is the name of the CubeSat (nanosatellite) developed at the University of Liège by students. The main objective of this project is to provide hands-on experience to students in the design, construction, and control of complete satellite systems. It's the reason why all the systems are developed only by the students.

OUFTI-1 will test a D-STAR repeater in space, an experimental electrical power supply (developed in partenership with Thales Alenia Space ETCA), and high efficiency solar cells (30% BOL) provided by AzurSpace.

Since the beginning of the year 2008, 29 students from 2 Universities (University of Liège and University of Louvain-La-Neuve) and 2 engineering schools (Gramme Institut and ISIL) have contributed to this project thanks to their master thesis.
