Cytomine & Histoweb

My job is to maintain and develop Cytomine: a rich internet application for visualization, collaborative annotation, and automatic analysis of large-scale bioimages.
Cytomine is a modern internet application using data mining for large-scale bioimage exploitation in order to help life scientists to better evaluate drug treatments, understand biological processes, and ease diagnostic.

This application uses modern web-based technologies as the combinaison Grails/BackboneJS and will be released under an open-source software license.
For a complete list of features, see http://cytomine.be/

I'm currently involved in the HISTOWEB project to extend the Cytomine platform for teaching purposes. A preliminary implementation is already used by more than 1000 students at the University of Liege.
