SOME PRACTICAL ARRANGEMENTS:
- When does the first class take place?
- March 10, from 1-5pm at the Maths Building (office of Prof Van Steen - see home page for details)
- If you have a laptop, please bring it to this and subsequent classes
- No other material is necessary, unless announced

INFORMATION BY CLASS:
"Workshop papers" are meant to provide some background information that may be useful for the homework assignments. Time permitting, some of these papers are discussed in class.
"Background information" offers additional resources to better understand the course or to put the course in a broader perspective. It is not exam material.
