Laboratory of acoustics

The laboratory of acoustics is a modern complex including five reverberant rooms and two anechoïc chambers. Four reverberant chambers are dedicated to the measurement of acoustic isolation (airborne or structural sound transmission indices).

The fifth chamber has a pyramidal shape and is mainly used for the measurement of absorption coefficients and for sound power measurements.

Both anechoïc chambers are dedicated to the most ususal electro-acoustical measurements.

The most frequent measurements are:

  • Sound reduction indices and impact noise indices measurements
  • The measurement of absorption coefficients
  • Acoustical power and directivity patterns of sources
  • Frequency response and other characteristics of loudspeakers
